Welded Steel Pipe

Welded Steel Pipe for Pipeline and Structural Projects

Forever Steel supplies welded steel pipe for oil and gas pipelines, water transmission, piling, structural engineering, port construction, fire protection and industrial piping projects. The welded pipe range includes ERW steel pipe, LSAW steel pipe and SSAW steel pipe, each suited to different diameter ranges, wall thicknesses, pressure levels and project conditions.

For correct selection, buyers should compare the pipe manufacturing method, weld seam type, outside diameter, wall thickness, steel grade, project standard, coating requirement, inspection plan, packing method and shipping route before confirming the order.

Technical Specifications & Size Range

The available size range of welded steel pipe depends on the manufacturing process. ERW pipe is generally used for small- to medium-diameter applications, while LSAW and SSAW processes extend the supply range to large-diameter, heavy-wall and project-specific welded pipe.

Pipe Type

Outside Diameter

Wall Thickness

Available Length

Typical Supply Focus

ERW Steel Pipe

1/2"–24" (21.3–609.6 mm); selected sizes up to 26" (660 mm) subject to technical review

1.65–20 mm

5.8–12 m standard; fixed lengths up to 18 m upon request

Line pipe, water and gas transmission, fire protection, structural and mechanical applications

LSAW Steel Pipe

16"–72" (406.4–1828.8 mm)

6.0–100 mm

5–12.8 m standard; project lengths up to 36 m subject to manufacturing and transport review

Large-diameter and heavy-wall pipelines, high-pressure service, offshore structures, piling and heavy structural projects

SSAW Steel Pipe

8"–138" (219.1–3500 mm)

5.0–40 mm; selected thinner-wall combinations subject to confirmation

6–12 m standard; project lengths up to 30 m

Large-diameter water transmission, piling, ports, structural works and low- to medium-pressure pipeline projects

The ranges above represent general supply capabilities rather than the availability of every OD × wall thickness combination. Final manufacturability should be confirmed according to the required diameter, wall thickness, steel grade, standard, pipe length, dimensional tolerances, testing requirements and delivery conditions.

Pipe End Preparation

To ensure efficient on-site installation, we offer professional end finishing:

Bevelled Ends: Standard 30° (+5°/-0°) with 1.6mm root face (per ANSI B16.25) for easy welding.

Plain Ends: Square cut for structural use or socket welding.

Threaded & Coupled (T&C): Precise threading according to API 5B or ASTM standards.

Grooved Ends: Suitable for rapid mechanical coupling systems.

Surface Treatment & Corrosion Protection

Customized coating solutions to protect against atmospheric and soil corrosion:

Temporary Protection: Black Vanish painting, Light Oiling.

High-Durability Coating: Hot-Dipped Galvanized (HDG) – Zinc coating up to500g/m².

Advanced Anti-Corrosion: 3PE (Three-Layer Polyethylene), FBE (Fusion Bonded Epoxy), or 3PP coating for underground burial.

Packaging & Logistics Excellence

We understand that long-distance international shipping requires superior packaging to prevent damage:

Hexagonal Bundling: Small diameter pipes are bundled with high-tensile steel strips and heavy-duty nylon lifting slings.

End Protection: Heavy-duty plastic caps or metal ring protectors to safeguard bevels and threads.

Sea-Worthy Marking: Each pipe is stenciled withHeat No., Size, Grade, Standard, and Manufacturer Logo(Customized marking supported).

Loading Precautions:

Use of wooden dunnage and rubber separators to prevent steel-on-steel friction.

Rigid bracing and lashing within containers or bulk vessels to prevent shifting during transit.

Quality Assurance (QA/QC)

Mill Test Certificate (MTC):Issued according toEN 10204 3.1or 3.2.

Third-Party Inspection: We welcome and facilitate inspections by SGS, BV, TUV, or Lloyd's Register.

Testing Protocol: 100% Hydrostatic Test, Online Ultrasonic (UT) of weld seams, and Flattening/Bending tests.
